Job Overview

The Service Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their vehicle maintenance and repair needs. This role involves managing service appointments, providing accurate cost estimates, and ensuring a smooth communication flow between customers and the service team.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma (automotive-related certifications or training preferred).
  • 1-3 years of experience in an automotive service advisory role.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance requirements.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using service management software (e.g., AutoFluent, DealerSocket).

Job Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and assess vehicle service requirements.
  • Schedule service appointments and communicate estimated completion times.
  • Provide detailed repair and maintenance estimates to customers.
  • Advise customers on recommended services and repairs.
  • Create and maintain accurate service orders and job cards.
  • Coordinate with technicians and service teams to ensure timely job completion.
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Keep customers updated on the status of their vehicle repairs.
