About the Role

CoDev is hiring a search specialist to own how we show up wherever people (and increasingly, AI) go looking for answers. This role covers three related disciplines: traditional SEO (ranking in Google/Bing), AEO — Answer Engine Optimization (showing up correctly in AI-generated answers and chat assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews), and GEO — Generative Engine Optimization (structuring our content and data so generative AI systems can find, understand, and cite it accurately). You will also be the day-to-day owner of our Webflow site, so hands-on Webflow experience is required, not just a nice-to-have.

You'll work closely with the Marketing Manager and Sales to turn organic and AI-driven visibility into qualified pipeline.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Traditional SEO

• Site health & technical audits: own crawlability, indexation, site speed, Core Web Vitals, structured data/schema markup, and mobile usability across the CoDev website.
• On-page optimization: keyword research, content briefs, metadata, internal linking, and page-level optimization in partnership with content writers.
• Off-page & authority building: coordinate with our SEO/content agency partner on backlink strategy and digital PR.
• Reporting: track organic traffic, rankings, and conversions in Google Search Console, GA4, and HubSpot; report monthly against goals.
  
  

AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)

• AI visibility monitoring: track how and whether CoDev is surfaced in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and similar answer engines.
• Answer-first content: develop FAQ-style, question-and-answer, and conversational content formats optimized to be pulled directly into AI answers.
• Structured data for AI: implement and maintain schema (FAQPage, HowTo, Organization, etc.) that helps answer engines parse our content correctly.
  
  

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)

• Machine-readable content structure: organize content, entity signals, and metadata so generative AI systems can retrieve and cite it accurately.
• Citation & accuracy tracking: monitor how generative engines describe CoDev and correct inaccurate or outdated citations where possible.
• Stay current: this is a fast-moving discipline — track emerging GEO tools, benchmarks, and best practices and bring recommendations to the team.
  
  

Webflow (Required)

• Own the CMS: build and maintain landing pages, blog templates, and CMS collections in Webflow.
• On-page SEO in Webflow: manage meta titles/descriptions, alt text, redirects, sitemap settings, and page speed directly in the platform.
  
  

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience, including technical SEO audits and execution.
• Hands-on Webflow experience — CMS collections, on-page SEO settings, and page/template building.
• Working knowledge of AEO/GEO concepts, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply emerging AI-search practices.
• Proficiency with Google Search Console, GA4, and at least one SEO platform (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog).
• Strong analytical skills and comfort presenting data-driven recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
  
  

Nice to Have

• Prior SEO/marketing experience in B2B, IT services, or staffing/outsourcing.
• Experience with schema.org / JSON-LD markup implementation.
• Basic HTML/CSS for custom Webflow embeds.
• Familiarity with HubSpot for campaign and content reporting.
