WordPress Development
- Build, maintain, and optimise WordPress websites for large multi-location service businesses.
- Develop templates, layouts, and scalable page structures.
- Improve website speed, responsiveness, and overall performance.
- Configure plugins, caching systems, and website integrations.
- Troubleshoot bugs, technical issues, and server-related problems.
- Maintain staging and deployment environments while ensuring clean, efficient, and scalable code.
- Analyse existing websites to identify technical issues, structural problems, and performance limitations.
- Diagnose root causes and determine whether a website should be repaired, improved, or rebuilt from scratch.
- Provide clear recommendations with reasoning and implement solutions with minimal SEO impact.
- Build websites with SEO performance in mind, not just design or functionality.
- Apply technical SEO principles including indexation, internal linking, site hierarchy, page architecture, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals improvements.
- Work closely with the Marketing Team Leader to align website builds with SEO goals.
- Support website rebuilds, migrations, and technical SEO improvements.
- Think beyond execution and understand the purpose behind what is being built.
- Contribute ideas to improve website structure, SEO performance, user experience, and conversion rates.
- Identify opportunities to increase traffic, improve rankings, improve scalability, and simplify systems.
- Be proactive in suggesting improvements and clearly explain the reasoning behind decisions.
- Mandatory: Minimum 4+ years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, or a related role, with experience managing multiple client accounts in an agency, MSP, or multi-client environment.
- Mandatory: Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, including keyword research, on-page SEO, and technical SEO principles.
- Mandatory: Experience using Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, and supporting or managing Google Ads campaigns.
- Hands-on experience managing WordPress websites, including website updates, optimisation, and basic troubleshooting.
- Experience working in a digital marketing agency environment, supporting Australian, US, or international clients across multiple client accounts, is highly regarded.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret data, manage multiple client accounts, and work effectively across competing priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager (GTM) and conversion tracking.
- Experience with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar platforms.
- Basic HTML, CSS, and website troubleshooting knowledge.
- Understanding of AI-assisted content creation and SEO automation tools.
- Hands-on experience in SEM / paid media, including managing and optimising campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Ads. Candidates who bring both SEO and SEM expertise will be viewed favourably and may be considered for broader digital marketing responsibilities.
