The
Senior Test Analyst Dynamics 365 is responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications and their integrations with other business systems. The role involves planning, designing, and executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring that solutions meet business requirements and quality standards. The Senior Test Analyst will work closely with developers, business analysts, and end users to validate functional and non-functional requirements across multiple Dynamics 365 modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Dynamics 365 CE,F&O, and Power Platform applications.
- Conduct functional, integration, regression, and system testing to ensure application reliability and accuracy.
- Validate system configurations, workflows, customizations, and plugins within Dynamics 365 environments.
- Perform end-to-end testing across integrated systems including Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure Functions, and third-party APIs.
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues through the defect management process using tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to clarify requirements and ensure proper test coverage.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support and coordination with businessstakeholders.
- Conduct data validation and migration testing between environments.
- Contribute to test automation strategy and assist in implementing automated testing using frameworks compatible with Dynamics 365.
- Provide test reports, metrics, and quality assessments for project releases and sprint
cycles.
- Mentor junior testers and promote best practices in testing methodologies and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of testing experience, with at least 3 years in Dynamics 365 (CE,
F&O, or Power Platform) environments.
- Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 modules, configurations, and integrations.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Test Plans, and CI/CD environments.
- Solid knowledge of software testing methodologies, defect management, and
Agile/Scrum processes.
- Experience with API testing (Postman, Swagger) and SQL-based data validation.
- Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, EasyRepro, PowerApps Test Studio) is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Microsoft certifications related to Dynamics 365 or Power Platform are preferred.
