Role description:

As Senior Team Lead Email Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy for Arcadis email channel. You will lead and mentor a high-performing email marketing team, while collaborating closely with other Digital Team Leads to ensure integrated and effective digital campaigns. You balance hands-on expertise with strategic oversight, ensuring campaigns are data-driven, customer-centric, and fully integrated across marketing channels. Your leadership fosters innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and measurable business impact.

Role Accountabilities:

Email Marketing

  • Partner with the Email Marketing Manager to develop and execute the email channel strategy, ensuring alignment with marketing and business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for Marketing & Communications stakeholders to ensure alignment, clarity, and seamless delivery of email marketing campaigns.
  • Support the execution of the overall email marketing strategy to drive top, mid and bottom funnel metrics.
  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) to maintain the highest standards of data security and ethical marketing practices.

Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the design, launch, and optimization of demand generation, lead generation, and lifecycle campaigns, including welcome programs and nurture flows.
  • Collaborate with teams within Marketing & Communications such as content and, digital teams and with, sales teams to deliver targeted, relevant messaging across the customer lifecycle.
  • Develop robust segmentation and targeting strategies, leveraging demographic and behavioral attributes to maximize engagement and conversion.

Omni-channel Integration & Collaboration

  • Actively contribute towards user journey mapping across channels to ensure an omni-channel experience for our clients, ensuring that email campaigns are integrated with other marketing channels (social, paid, web, events).
  • Contribute email-specific insights and optimizations to broader campaign planning to support multi-channel strategies.

Analytics, Reporting & Optimization

  • Work with the Data Analytics team to create and utilize dashboards and reporting frameworks to track campaign performance, ROI, and engagement metrics.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations, continuously optimizing campaigns through A/B testing, journey analysis, and audience refinement.
  • Incorporate high-level email marketing reporting, including monthly KPIs, quarterly assessments, and end-of-year summaries for the business.
  • Build custom reports using available data and analytics tools like Oracle BI as necessary

People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of email marketing experts, fostering professional growth, accountability, and high performance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, manage recruitment and onboarding, and promote a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Recommend pay raises, additional training, or support to management.

Project Initiation/Management

  • Oversee planning, resourcing, and execution of complex campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Translate campaign requirements into actionable tasks, coordinate resources and timelines within the team, and provide status updates while adjusting schedules as needed to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Refine scalable processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, precision, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all email marketing-related requests, ensuring alignment and clarity across teams.

Process Improvement

  • Continuously assess and refine email marketing processes to identify areas for improved efficiency, ensuring that the team is consistently driving process improvement efforts.
  • Implement and support initiatives aligned with GSSC Marcomms S&A to streamline operations and enhance overall performance in email marketing campaigns.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team by encouraging feedback, sharing best practices, and incorporating agile methodologies to adapt to changing needs and optimize workflows

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6+ years experience in email marketing, including designing and executing large-scale, multi-channel campaigns.
  • Proven expertise in campaign strategy, including email, lifecycle, demand/lead generation, and omni-channel approaches.
  • Experience in lead generation and lead management is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Eloqua, Marketo) and CRM systems.
  • Technical knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for email customization.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills (Power BI, Excel, Oracle BI) with experience translating insights into actionable campaign improvements.
  • Knowledge of email compliance laws (GDPR, CAN-SPAM) and authentication standards (SPF, DKIM).
  • Experience with creative asset tools (Adobe Creative Suite) is desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing high-performing teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
