Role Summary

The Senior Tax Specialist leads Philippine local tax, PESA, and Canada GST compliance for assigned entities. The role handles endtoend tax filings, audit activities, and review of junior specialists work.

Functional / Technical Competencies

  • Strong Philippine local tax and PESA compliance knowledge.
  • Preferably with Canada GST compliance experience.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Ability to interpret changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience in tax audits and coordination with auditors.
  • Strong analytical and research capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and file tax returns.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in tax regulations.
  • Manage tax audits and respond to external inquiries.
  • Review tax computations prepared by junior staff.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching.
  • Support Canada GST compliance.
  • Prepare tax compliance reports and presentations.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams on taxrelated matters.

  • Accurate and timely PH, PESA, and GST filings.
  • Clear review feedback for junior staff work.
  • Strong audit outcomes with minimal findings.
  • Complete and timely compliance reports.
  • Improved team capability through coaching.

Organizational Strategies & Objectives

  • Ensure full compliance with PH tax, PESA, and Canada GST requirements.
  • Support operational efficiency and team capability-building.
  • Strengthen audit readiness and organizational risk mitigation.

Relevant Credentials

  • Bachelor's degree in accountancy (required).
  • CPA license preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant tax compliance experience.
  • Experience from Big 4 firms (SGV, KPMG, PwC, Deloitte).

Must Haves

  • Strong PH tax and PESA compliance experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Leadership capability for reviewing junior work.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Willing to work onsite during the initial phase.

Nice to Haves

  • Canada GST experience.
  • Big 4 background (SGV, KPMG, PwC, Deloitte).
  • Experience supporting regional tax requirements.

Role Considerations

  • Midshift schedule with a full onsite work arrangement.
  • Office: Lexmark Plaza 1, Cebu Business Park, Cebu City.
