Senior Structural Engineer

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Regional Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience delivering Australian structural engineering projects, with a strong emphasis on building structures (including residential, commercial, and healthcare/hospital projects).
• Software Mastery:
• ETABS: Advanced proficiency (mandatory) for 3D finite element modeling, lateral stability analysis, and building frame design.
• RAM Concept / CSI SAFE: High proficiency in RAM Concept (strongly preferred) or CSI SAFE for post-tensioned (PT) and reinforced concrete (RC) floor plate and foundation design, with the ability to perform complex slab thickness and deflection checks.
• Standards Knowledge: In-depth working knowledge of Australian Standards, including AS 1170 (Structural design actions / Loading), AS 3600 (Concrete structures), and AS 4100 (Steel structures).
• Technical Skills: Expertise in complex structural analysis across diverse building systems, with a proven track record of producing clear, construction-ready calculations and documentation aligned with Australian industry expectations.
• Technical Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to clearly articulate design intent and collaborate effectively with onshore Australian project managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
