Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time remote position for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer. The role involves ensuring the quality of software by performing manual testing, designing and executing test cases, identifying and documenting bugs, and collaborating with development teams to address issues. Additional responsibilities include maintaining quality assurance standards, ensuring software development processes meet specified requirements, and contributing to the improvement of testing strategies and tools.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze requirements and create clear, comprehensive test cases.

Execute manual functional, regression, and usability testing.

Log and track defects clearly, and verify fixes.

Report on testing progress and quality status.

Collaborate with developers and product managers.

Help maintain and occasionally execute existing automated test scripts (a plus).

Essential Qualifications

2+ years of hands-on manual software testing experience.

Strong understanding of QA methodologies and the SDLC.

Experience with test case and defect management tools

Ability to test APIs using tools like Postman.

Basic SQL knowledge for data validation.

Familiarity with any test automation tool or framework (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a beneficial

plus.

Amenable to working EST hours.
