About the platform
The EUC platform is a cloud-native, fully PaaS car park management system operating across Germany, Denmark and Austria - with the scope and architecture to take on significantly larger workloads and to serve as the successor foundation for UK operations as the legacy estate is retired.
Built on .NET 10 and hosted entirely on Azure PaaS, the platform spans parking enforcement and case management, camera integration, paid parking, payment kiosks, bay management, motorist self-service, client and supplier portals, a dedicated patrol app for field attendants, and our compliant app-and-web parking payment offering.
A deliberately small expert team owns the full lifecycle: architecture, development, infrastructure and live support. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role - the platform is growing in market reach and capability, and every engineer shapes it.
Who you'll be working with
- A small, cross-functional engineering team with full end-to-end ownership of the platform

What you'll be working on
- Delivering new capability across the core platform and its satellite applications - enforcement, payments, ANPR, field tooling and more
- Expanding the platform into new European markets and scaling it to take on UK workloads as the legacy .NET 4 estate is decommissioned
- Owning infrastructure as code alongside the application - every Azure resource is Terraform-defined and pipeline-deployed
- Driving quality through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, pull-request discipline and production observability
- Contributing to architectural decisions: the platform is growing and so are the choices that shape it
- Supporting live operations - this is a production platform with real users across multiple countries
Technical experience that will help you succeed:
Core platform & architecture
- Strong .NET - .NET 10 in production; comfortable with modern C# and the surrounding ecosystem
- Clean Architecture: layered domain/application/infrastructure separation, CQRS with MediatR, FluentValidation
- REST API design and implementation using FastEndpoints (REPR pattern) with OpenAPI/Swagger; versioned APIs from day one
- ASP.NET Core MVC for web applications; Bootstrap and jQuery for the front end
- Event-driven design: Azure Service Bus queues and topics, Azure Functions (isolated worker model - timer, Service Bus and durable orchestrations)
Data
- Azure SQL: schema design, query optimisation, indexing - strong SQL fundamentals are essential
- EF Core for domain model and write paths; Dapper for optimised read paths - understanding when to use each matters here
- Per-area schema partitioning, soft-delete and audit conventions, spatial data (NetTopologySuite)
- Database change management via reviewed, versioned migration scripts (Flyway or equivalent pipeline-deployed approach)
Azure & infrastructure
- Azure PaaS estate: App Service, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Blob Storage, Redis Cache, Azure SQL
- Infrastructure as code - Terraform experience strongly preferred; the full estate is IaC-defined and environment-stamped per country
- Cross-cutting platform services: Entra ID (SSO and managed identity), App Configuration, Key Vault, Application Insights
- Cloudflare at the edge: DNS, WAF, DDoS protection, CDN
Quality & delivery
- Automated testing: xUnit, Moq and FluentAssertions; test projects that mirror each application layer
- Azure DevOps: pipelines, staging-slot deployments, branch policies and pull-request workflow
- Production observability: Application Insights telemetry, distributed tracing, health-check endpoints
Desirable
- NET MAUI: the patrol app is a MAUI offline-first mobile application on the same .NET 10 stack
- Multi-market / localisation experience: one codebase, per-country deployments, feature flags and resx-based i18n
- Legacy .NET 4 / .NET Framework background - useful context as UK workloads are assessed for migration or replacement
- Shared package and private NuGet feed management - the domain and data-access layers publish as versioned packages consumed by satellite apps
- Actively using AI coding tools (Claude Code or similar) as part of day-to-day engineering workflow

- Comfortable with breadth - able to move between a domain model change, an infrastructure PR and a production investigation in the same day
- Strong ownership mindset: in a small team with full lifecycle responsibility, things don't fall through because someone else will pick them up
