RareFind Recruitment is hiring a Senior Software Developer on behalf of a US-based client.
This is a long-term, fully remote independent contractor role for candidates in the Philippines who are comfortable working US Central Time (CST) hours.

- Competitive Philippines market rates. Will be paid in pesos, based on experience and skill set

This role is ideal for developers who enjoy ownership, clean architecture, and cloud-native systems, and want to make a measurable impact while working with a global team
What You'll Be Doing:
- Design, build, and maintain Python services, APIs, and ETL workflows
- Architect solutions using AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, ECS/EKS, Step Functions, DynamoDB)
- Write efficient, scalable, and cost-conscious code
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and workflow automation
- Monitor and optimize systems for performance and reliability
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment best practices
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders
- Provide guidance and light mentorship to junior developers
What We're Looking For:
- Up to 5 years of professional experience in backend or software development
- Strong expertise in Python (3.x) and API development
- Proven hands-on experience with AWS in production environments
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)
- Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation
- Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, and networking
- Comfortable working with ETL patterns, data pipelines, and SQL
Nice to Have:
- Event-driven systems (Kafka, Kinesis, SNS/SQS)
- Observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Exposure to ML or analytics pipelines
- Experience integrating with CRMs or marketing platforms
