Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Data)
Purpose of the role
The Senior Service Reliability Engineer for Data will help ensure that Qlik and Oracle Data Pipeline (ODP) platforms provide reliable, highperforming, secure, and valueoptimized data services at scale. This includes engineering for resilience, streamlining operations through automation, and continuously improving endtoend data reliability from data ingestion to visualization.
This role involves partnering with teams such as Development and Accenture Support to help ensure that our service level objectives (SLOs) are met, data remains accurate and dependable, and operational issues are addressed in a timely and organized way to minimize customer impact. You will also contribute to reducing manual work, supporting sustainable capacity planning, refreshing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and developing code to enhance performance.
This is a hybrid position that requires being in the local office 23 days a week.
In this role you'll
- Define and track service level indicators (SLIs), service level objectives (SLOs), and error budgets in partnership with engineering and product teams.
- Collaborate with Operations and Development teams to strengthen reliability, availability, and system performance.
- Support automation and processimprovement initiatives to reduce recurring manual work where possible.
- Respond to production incidents and conduct rootcause analysis to support ongoing improvement.
- Create and maintain support playbooks that team members can use during emergency response situations and contribute to enhancements in change, release, and incident management processes.
About The Ideal Candidate
- Experience with one or more of the following data and database technologies: Qlik, Oracle Data Pipeline (ODP), Databricks, Structured Query Language (SQL), change data capture (CDC), or SQL Managed Instance (SQL MI).
- Experience working with Azure DevOps, including GitOps repositories and build/release pipelines.
- Comfort using scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or SQL. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, or Splunk, as well as familiarity with cloud platforms.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives, with flexibility to work on shifting schedules.
