Job Summary

The Senior Relationship Manager Commercial Banking is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial loan accounts while actively sourcing new business opportunities. This role involves evaluating creditworthiness, preparing credit recommendations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards. The position requires conducting financial analysis, site visits, and ongoing monitoring of client performance to maintain portfolio health. Additionally, the Senior Relationship Manager provides solutions to client inquiries, coordinates with legal and collections teams for delinquent accounts, and presents credit proposals to approving bodies, ensuring strong client relationships and sustainable business growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage existing loan portfolio and actively market for new loan accounts.
  • Screen loan applicants by evaluating creditworthiness and financial stability.
  • Recommend credit-worthy clients for approval.
  • Prepare Credit Recommendation and Approval Memorandum (CRAM).
  • Conduct financial analysis and package credit proposals.
  • Perform site visits to assess client business operations.
  • Monitor financial health and viability of assigned accounts.
  • Handle remedial actions for potentially problematic accounts.
  • Coordinate with Legal and Collections teams on delinquent accounts.
  • Present credit evaluations and recommendations to approving committees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Accounting, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
  • Minimum 810 years of experience in credit evaluation and loan portfolio management.
  • Strong knowledge of credit analysis, financial statements, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in credit evaluation tools and financial modeling software.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Leadership skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
