Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead our cost planning and tendering activities. In this role, you will guide a team of QS professionals, ensure accurate cost estimates, and oversee the bid and awarding process for our projects. You will also collaborate with project teams to align cost management with project scope and specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the preparation of accurate cost estimates and manage the bid and awarding process.
- Assist the QS Supervisor in establishing and refining standardized processes for cost planning and awarding.
- Mentor and guide QS team members to develop their technical skills and professional growth.
- Review and validate cost estimates prepared by the team, ensuring alignment with project scope and specifications.
- Review tender documents and tender reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Lead reconciliation meetings with bidders to ensure proper alignment on costs and scope.
- Conduct site visits for new projects to ensure actual site conditions are reflected in cost estimates.
- Provide technical support and recommendations to project teams for effective cost control.
Job Requirements- Licensed Civil Engineer or Architect.
- Minimum of 5 years of Quantity Surveying experience in cost planning and awarding, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- With proven experience in high-rise building projects
- Experience in consultancy or client-side roles within the real estate or construction industry is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of cost management, tendering, and contract administration.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven.
