Join us as a Senior Quality Engineer in our Singapore office!
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quality Engineer to help drive the automation testing efforts in our dynamic and innovative team. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by developing and maintaining robust and scalable automation frameworks. Your expertise in automation testing methodologies, tools, and best practices will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for test automation, continuous improvement, and optimizing our QA processes.
About The Role
We're looking for a highly experienced senior-level Quality Engineer who can drive testing and quality improvements at scale, and partner with engineering teams to embed testing and quality into every layer of our tech stack, through our engineering, testing, delivery and release processes.
Your impact
As a key member of the Quality team at Ascenda, you will in involved in:
- Automation Strategy and Leadership
- Develop and execute a robust automation strategy for the Data Service and Data Integration Layer, covering data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes.
- Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Test Planning and Execution
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement detailed test plans for the Data Service and Data Integration Layer.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts for functional and regression testing.
- Data Integration Testing
- Implement automated testing processes to validate data integration workflows, ensuring data consistency and accuracy across various sources.
- Collaborate with data engineers to validate ETL processes and maintain data integrity.
- Performance Testing
- Develop and execute automated performance testing strategies to evaluate the scalability, responsiveness, and efficiency of the Data Service and Data Integration Layer.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks to optimize data processing and integration.
- Quality Metrics and Reporting:Establish key quality metrics for the Data Service and Data Integration Layer and implement automated reporting mechanisms.
- Communicate testing progress, results, and potential issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the QA process, incorporating the latest tools and methodologies.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance test automation frameworks and methodologies.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate effectively with data engineers, developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Provide technical insights and recommendations to improve data service and integration system design and architecture.
- Defect Identification and Resolution:Identify, document, and prioritize defects, working closely with development teams for timely resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis and contribute to the improvement of development processes.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in automation testing, with a focus on Data Service and Data Integration processes.
- Proficient in test automation tools and frameworks, such as Playwright, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent.
- Strong scripting and programming skills (e.g., Typescript, Python, SQL).
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., K6J Meter, Gatling) and strategies.
- Solid understanding of data integration concepts, ETL processes, and data transformation workflows.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
