Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant, QA Test Automation Engineer!

In this role, you will lead automation initiatives while managing and stabilizing nonproduction environments to support highquality and timely releases. In this role, you will develop automated test suites, perform integration testing using Java and APIs, and collaborate with traders and crossfunctional teams during UAT. You will also wear multiple hatsspanning automation, environment ownership, integration testing, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Own and enhance the existing automation tool, ensuring high reliability, scalability, and usability.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve automated test scripts using AI tools and established automation frameworks.
  • Write, review, and optimize code in Java (JUnit) or similar languages to support automation and integration efforts.
  • Manage and make decisions regarding nonproduction environments, including upgrades, usage planning, and support for traders during UAT.
  • Conduct system integration testing, validating interactions with external systems and dependencies, including handling failure scenarios.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable frequent, early validation and rapid feedback cycles.
  • Continuously refine automation approaches based on evolving requirements, stakeholder feedback, and industry best practices.
  • Track, monitor, and report on key automation metrics (e.g., automation coverage, script effectiveness, defect detection rate).

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Java and UNIX (scripting, debugging, environment navigation).
  • Handson experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, RESTassured, Cucumber).
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, APIbased integration testing, and endtoend validation.
  • Ability to manage nonproduction environments, support UAT cycles, and collaborate with SRE teams.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and integrating test suites into pipelines.
  • Demonstrated continuous learning mindset with the ability to adopt new tools and practices quickly.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills; comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fastpaced environment.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Basic knowledge of FIX Protocol (buyer/seller sessions, standard vs. nonstandard messages, intersystem messaging such as EDI mappers).
  • Understanding of Capital Markets, particularly Trading and Execution workflows.
  • Experience with environment orchestration, monitoring, or reliability engineering concepts.
  • Exposure to service virtualization, performance testing, or contract testing tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
