Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant, Senior QA Test Automation Engineer!

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing solutions to ensure the quality and performance of software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust test strategies and frameworks that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automated test solutions for UI and API testing using Java.
• Design and build a scalable automation framework from the ground up, aligned with project and enterprise standards.
• Lead the rollout and adoption of the automation framework across multiple teams and projects, ensuring consistent usage and best practices.
• Own the ongoing management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the automation framework, including refactoring, enhancements, and tooling upgrades.
• Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to define test strategies and quality gates.
• Enhance and integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Maven-based builds).
• Execute automated and manual test cases, analyze results, and report defects using appropriate tools.
• Analyze test and performance results to identify gaps, risks, and improvement areas.
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on automation standards and framework usage.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure quality expectations are met.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java-based automation.
• Demonstrated experience designing and building an automation framework from scratch.
• Hands-on experience managing, maintaining, and evolving automation frameworks over time.
• Experience with UI and API automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
• Basic SQL skills for data validation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Proven track record of successfully rolling out an automation framework across teams or large programs.
• Experience building or maintaining end-to-end automation frameworks at scale.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Maven preferred).
• Experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner or JMeter.
• Knowledge of FIX protocol and capital markets/equities domain.
• Ability to analyze performance and automation metrics to drive quality improvements.
