Job Description

Job Purpose

Reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain, the Senior Purchasing Manager shall lead the overall purchasing function across all categories (Trade and Non-Trade), ensuring alignment of procurement strategies with business expansion, cost targets, and operational requirements.

This role is responsible for driving strategic sourcing, supplier optimization, and process standardization, while overseeing Purchasing Managers and ensuring end-to-end procurement efficiency, supply continuity, and cost competitiveness across all kitchens, commissary, and support functions.

The role acts as a key business partner to Operations, Business Development, Finance, and other stakeholders in supporting expansion and improving procurement performance.

Main Duties

Procurement Strategy & Category Leadership

  • Develop and implement centralized procurement strategies across all categories (Produce, Meat, Frozen, Commodities, Packaging, Non-Trade, CAPEX).
  • Align purchasing plans with business expansion timelines, kitchen openings, and operational demand.
  • Drive category management strategies to ensure cost efficiency, supply reliability, and scalability.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing movements, and supply risks to inform purchasing decisions.

Team Leadership & Organizational Oversight

  • Lead and manage Purchasing Managers across different categories, ensuring alignment in execution and priorities.
  • Set performance targets, KPIs, and governance across the purchasing function.
  • Coach and develop team members to strengthen procurement capabilities and succession planning.
  • Ensure clear delineation of responsibilities across categories to avoid duplication and inefficiencies.

Supplier Strategy & Relationship Management

  • Oversee supplier sourcing, accreditation, and consolidation initiatives.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure long-term value and supply stability.
  • Lead high-level negotiations for major contracts, pricing agreements, and service terms.
  • Ensure supplier performance is monitored through structured scorecards and regular business reviews.

Cost Optimization & Financial Management

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, bidding, and demand consolidation.
  • Ensure procurement activities remain within or below budget targets while maintaining quality standards.
  • Partner with Finance in managing CAPEX and OPEX procurement planning.
  • Analyze spend data and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.

Process Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish and standardize procurement policies, workflows, and approval processes across all categories.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and audit requirements.
  • Lead improvements in procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, systems utilization, and reporting.
  • Address process gaps (manual work, delays, misalignment) and implement scalable solutions.

Stakeholder Management & Business Partnering

  • Act as the primary procurement advisor to internal stakeholders (Operations, BD, Finance, HR, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with Business Development and Kitchen Operations on expansion planning and requirements.
  • Ensure alignment of procurement timelines with project rollouts and operational needs.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership on procurement strategy.

Purchase Order & Supply Reliability Oversight

  • Ensure all purchasing activities deliver on time and in full across all categories.
  • Monitor procurement pipelines, supplier delivery performance, and issue resolution.
  • Oversee PO accuracy, approval timelines, and coordination with Finance for payments.

Other duties and tasks, as may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • At least 7–10 years of procurement/purchasing experience, with 3–5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong experience in multi-category procurement (food + non-trade preferred)
  • Proven track record in cost savings, supplier negotiations, and process improvements
  • Experience in F&B, retail, or a high-growth startup environment is highly preferred

Work Setup:

  • 5-days onsite in The Brilliance Center, Taguig. (Monday to Friday/Dayshift)
  • Twice a month, work from home
  • May require occasional travel for supplier visits and site support
