What Makes This Role Exciting

We are looking for a motivated and impact-driven Senior Product Manager to lead our Payroll Engine and Statutory Compliance domain. You will define and drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution of core payroll capabilities that ensure accurate, compliant, and scalable payroll processing across multiple countries.

In this role, you will own the evolution of our payroll engines to automate complex statutory calculations, statutory payments, tax rules, and statutory reporting requirements. You are responsible for translating legislation into reliable, productized solutions.

You will work at the intersection of compliance, engineering, and customer needs to reduce operational risk, eliminate manual workarounds, and strengthen trust in our payroll platform.

Main Responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of statutory updates and strategic initiatives, from discovery through rollout, ensuring alignment with business goals and on-time delivery.
  • Lead discovery, research, and solutioning, collaborating with stakeholders and customers, conducting market and competitive analysis, and defining clear problem statements and priorities.
  • Drive Agile execution by translating initiatives into epics and user stories, managing backlogs and roadmaps, and providing day-to-day product directions to delivery teams.
  • Ensure continuous feedback and improvement by facilitating customers and partners sessions, defining success metrics, and using data and insights to iterate post-launch.
  • Cross collaboration - working closely with Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to support go-to-market activities, including enablement materials, internal training, customer-facing content, and pricing considerations, while ensuring alignment between product scope, delivery effort, and market need.
  • Mentoring - Champion best practices in Product Management and Agile delivery, informally coaching Product Managers and helping foster a high-quality, user-centric product culture.

Experience Needed For This Role

  • Relevant years of experience in product management, preferably in Payroll and Payments platforms
  • Experience in managing complex, rules-driven SaaS products through the full product lifecycle.
  • Proven track record delivering calculation-engine or compliance-heavy platforms.
  • Experience interpreting legislation and translating it into scalable product solutions.
  • Understanding payroll engines, including statutory calculations, statutory payments, tax rules, and statutory reporting is a plus.
  • Familiarity on how payroll engines function and integrate with upstream (Workday / Oracle) & downstream systems (Service Partner systems).
  • Ability to work closely with engineering teams on solution design for complex rule logic and edge cases.
  • Experience leading Agile teams and collaborating across engineering, compliance, operations, and customer-facing teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple teams and levels.
