This position will report to the Pricing Manager. The primary responsibility of the Pricing Analyst is to monitor and communicate Market Pricing Intelligence, offering insights into market price trends and the pharmacy network configurations relevant to the company. Additionally, the analyst will consistently collect and organize relevant data from the Market Pricing Intelligence tool or other channels. The Analyst is also tasked with performing pricing analyses for both regular and specialized accounts.
This is a night shift, work-from-home position scheduled from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Market Research and Analysis
Consistently review market pricing to ensure that pricing is competitive in the market
Evaluate the competitor landscape to determine the market position
Evaluate the pricing of products based on key indicators which include Sales Drivers, Fast Movers, and Lagging products
Pricing Analysis
Conduct pricing analysis and recommend pricing to general and special accounts
Perform customer segmentation analysis
Database Management and Audit
Extract and compile pricing data from market pricing intelligence tools and other sources
Perform audit across different pricing databases to ensure coherent data
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics or another quantitative field
At least (three) 4 years of combined experience preferably as a Pricing Analyst working in a Contracting, Finance, Audit, Pricing, or Corporate Strategy function
Experience finding and gathering data from external (e.g., annual company reports, industry reports, internet searches) and internal sources.
Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, and insights on business performance.
Experience performing data analysis and data management activities. Knowledge of basic statistical concepts.
Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues.
Basic level skills in Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint. Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel utilizing the FORMULA tab and the function library and/or creating a pivot table.
Must be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and data-driven
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with pharmacy data at a retail pharmacy, benefit consultancy, or managed care company. (preferred but not required)
Knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical industry pricing.
Experience sourcing and utilizing data from a set of multiple sources that may be conflicting and/or incomplete. For example, estimating the market price of a competitor by triangulating a 10k annual report.
Experience in database management
Familiarity with using pricing optimization software is a plus
