Role: Senior Payroll Specialist
Work Arrangement: Work from Office
Location: Philippines - Angeles (Pampanga)
Schedule: Morning Shift
Duties/Responsibilities
Accounts Payable:
- Oversee the processing and coding of approximately 200 invoices monthly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial reporting requirements.
- Review and validate invoice coding completed by other team members, providing guidance where needed.
- Reconcile supplier statements and address discrepancies.
- Respond to supplier payment inquiries via email in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor bank feed transactions and ensure supplier payments are accurately applied to corresponding invoices in the accounting system.
- Support the continuous improvement of AP processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Handle ad hoc AP tasks as required (e.g., data checks, reporting, or vendor updates).
Payroll & HR Administration
- Manage and oversee payroll-related changes in Employment Hero (new hires, terminations, pay rate adjustments, office assignments).
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time, including acting as a point of contact for escalations and troubleshooting.
- Provide leadership and support to colleagues handling payroll tasks, ensuring compliance and consistency across the team.
- Partner with HR and finance to ensure payroll and employee data align with reporting and compliance requirements.
- Support the administrative side of employee onboarding (e.g., system setup, document collection, and initial payroll data entry).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of solid experience in both Australian Payroll and Accounts Payable.
- Strong working knowledge of MYOB (essential); Xero experience is desirable.
- Power-user of Employment Hero or any related software.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with suppliers, staff, and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, support, and provide guidance across finance and operations.
- A strong, confident personality with the leadership presence to influence and support colleagues effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot issues under pressure.
Non-negotiable Skills & Requirements
- 2+ years experience in a payroll-related role
- Bachelors degree in a related field
