Role Overview

The Senior Materials Engineer is responsible for the overall technical leadership, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance of the company's construction materials testing operations. The role ensures that all laboratory and field testing activities support PGA Tech Group's geoconstruction projects and external clients in full compliance with DPWH, ASTM, and AASHTO standards.

As a senior technical authority, the position oversees laboratory personnel, validates critical test reports, ensures accreditation compliance, and provides expert guidance on material performance for foundations, ground improvement, earthworks, pavements, and structural components.

Qualifications

• Licensed Civil Engineer in the Philippines
• DPWH-accredited Materials Engineer II (Materials Engineer III is an advantage)
• At least 7 years of experience in a DPWH-accredited construction materials testing laboratory
• Strong knowledge of soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregate testing procedures
• Experience supporting geotechnical and specialty geoconstruction projects is highly preferred
• Demonstrated experience in laboratory supervision and report validation
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Proficient in MS Office and laboratory reporting systems
• Willing to be assigned full-time in the laboratory with periodic field deployment as required
