Job Purpose:
The Senior Manager Retail and E-Commerce will lead the development and management of the company's expansion into two key business areas: retail shops within RSG tourism destinations and managing on-site e-commerce logistics, including last-mile delivery solutions for employee parcel management on large sites in cooperation with warehousing and transport teams. This role will be instrumental in overseeing the growth of retail-related business lines and optimizing logistics to provide efficient, cost-effective solutions for handling high volumes of e-commerce deliveries. The Senior Manager will collaborate with internal teams, external suppliers, and clients to ensure successful execution of these initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Retail Solutions Development:
- Lead the development and execution of retail solutions to serve a broad range of retail operations within tourism destinations, including supermarkets, fashion stores, beachwear shops, souvenir outlets, and more.
- Manage relationships with key retail brands and suppliers in collaboration with sourcing team, ranging from luxury goods to everyday consumer products (F&B, textile items, souvenirs, groceries, etc.).
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities and deliver tailored retail solutions.
- Drive key account management to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, repeat business, and long-term partnerships.
- E-Commerce & Logistics Solutions:
- Design and implement logistics solutions to manage e-commerce flows, including receiving and delivering employee parcels from major e-retailers like Amazon to sites and other employee locations.
- In collaboration with warehousing and transport teams, optimize last-mile logistics systems to improve delivery times, reduce costs, and enhance the user experience for site employees.
- Collaborate with warehousing and transport teams to establish efficient warehousing models and oversee transportation to ensure timely delivery of goods to thousands of employees across multiple sites.
- Business Strategy & Growth:
- Contribute to the company's strategic growth by identifying and developing new opportunities within the retail and e-commerce logistics.
- Lead the creation of business plans, financial forecasts, and budgets for retail and logistics-related services.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor the Senior Specialists and other team members, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of collaboration across departments, including Business Development, Warehousing, Transport, Sourcing & Purchasing, Sales, Pricing, Import/Export teams, IT, System to drive successful project execution.
- Champion effective internal communication and a high-performance work culture.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of retail and logistics operations
- Provide regular performance reports and updates to senior management on business developments, challenges, and opportunities.
- Financial Management:
- Oversee the financial performance of the retail and e-commerce logistics business lines, ensuring cost control and profitability.
- Develop pricing models, manage budgets, and identify areas for efficiency improvements in service delivery.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred).
- At least 7 years of experience in business development, retail management, and e-commerce logistics.
- Proven experience in managing retail operations, particularly in tourism, hospitality, or luxury sectors.
- Strong background in e-commerce logistics, especially in managing last-mile delivery solutions and large-scale parcel flows.
- Experience in overseeing large teams and cross-functional projects.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex relationships with suppliers, retailers, and logistics partners.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and management skills, capable of motivating, coaching, and developing a high-performing team.
- Project Management: Excellent project management capabilities with experience in leading multi-functional teams and large-scale initiatives.
- Negotiation: Advanced negotiation skills for managing vendor contracts, pricing agreements, and supplier relationships.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve logistics and retail challenges effectively.
- Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial management to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics management systems, e-commerce platforms, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools.
