The
Senior Lead HVAC Technician is responsible for supervising and performing the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and residential air conditioning systems. This role includes leading a team of HVAC technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining compliance with safety and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, leadership experience, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Lead and coordinate a team of HVAC technicians in the installation, service, and maintenance of air conditioning systems (split, VRF/VRV, package units, chillers, etc.).
- Diagnose and repair complex HVAC system malfunctions, ensuring optimal performance.
- Review blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan installations and repairs.
- Supervise and inspect completed work to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory codes.
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior technicians and apprentices.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are used safely and maintained properly.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders regarding project updates, issues, and solutions.
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation of work performed.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including the proper handling of refrigerants and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Assist with planning and scheduling of projects, resource allocation, and inventory control.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
