As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining the software that powers the LegalMatch platform. You will collaborate with product management to define requirements and work with the technical implementation team to deliver a finished product.
Your responsibilities will include:- analyzing business requirements to define effective technical implementation strategies.
- designing high-quality solutions that adhere to best practices and leverage your technical expertise.
- crafting extensible, scalable, reliable, well-structured, and efficient code.
- developing and supporting Java-based components and interfaces, employing diverse coding methodologies, best practices, and tools to achieve desired outcomes.
- ensuring timely delivery of thoroughly tested software components.
- demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to delivering results by doing whatever it takes to meet project/business goals.
- collaborating closely with internal teams and project stakeholders to foster effective communication and synergy.
- assuming responsibility for code asset management, promoting asset reuse, and ensuring application support.
- conducting comprehensive unit, integrated, and system testing in accordance with detailed functional specifications.
- assisting in the smooth implementation of systems into production environments.
- applying accepted methodologies and tools in a disciplined manner throughout the development process.
- working independently and efficiently to meet deadlines and contribute to project success.
- keeping abreast of the latest software development trends and technologies, leveraging them to optimize the quality and efficiency of LegalMatch platforms.
Requirements- With at least 5 years of prior experience as a Senior Java Developer
- Required skills in:
- Core Java, Web applications, and web services (5 years)
- Microservices Architecture (3 years)
- Amazon Web Services (3 years)
- Terraform Scripting (1 year)
- Proficient in most of the following:
- Software design
- SQL, Hibernate
- JSON, XML
- Modern CSS, HTML, and jQuery (or similar) scripting library
- Apache Struts and Spring Boot
- JSP, Velocity, or equivalent template engine
- jQuery/AJAX, web development/HTML/JavaScript/CSS, JSP or equivalent template library
- Jenkins or other CI/CD
- Docker or other containers
- Apache web server or equivalent like NGINX
- Linux Operating System
- Git
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
- It will be a plus if you know the following as well:
- Amazon Web Services
- Microservices
