Senior HR Business Partner – Asia

About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading multinational organisation in the high-tech sector, is looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to support its fast-growing Asia commercials organisation. This is a high-impact role where you'll act as a strategic advisor to senior commercial leaders, shaping the people strategies that drive revenue growth, market expansion, and a high-performance sales culture.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Driving business alignment: Work closely with senior sales leaders to turn commercial goals into clear talent and workforce plans, ensuring teams have the right capabilities to hit their targets.
  • Shaping the organisation: Advise on organisational design, team structures, territory alignment, and headcount planning as the business scales and evolves.
  • Coaching leaders: Guide leaders on leadership effectiveness, team dynamics, and change management, especially through periods of transformation and growth.
  • Building sales talent pipelines: Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and high-potential development for sales-critical and leadership roles.
  • Hiring top performers at scale: Create streamlined, consistent recruitment approaches that attract and onboard strong sales talent quickly.
  • Elevating performance: Embed performance practices that drive accountability and results, from goal setting and calibration to addressing underperformance.
  • Retaining key talent: Use engagement insights to identify retention risks and put targeted action plans in place for top performers.
  • Managing employee relations: Handle employee relations matters with sound judgement and ensure compliance with employment laws across multiple markets.
  • Using data to lead: Apply workforce analytics and sales effectiveness metrics to inform decisions, measure impact, and anticipate future people needs.
  • Collaborating across HR: Partner with specialist HR teams in talent acquisition, learning and development, and rewards to deliver joined-up solutions.

What We're Looking For

  • 12+ years of progressive HR experience, including substantial time as an HR Business Partner supporting sales or commercial teams
  • A proven track record of partnering with senior sales leaders and influencing at a strategic level
  • Strong business acumen and a solid understanding of how sales organisations operate, including direct and channel sales models, ideally within the high-tech industry
  • Deep expertise in sales compensation, incentive design, and performance management
  • Experience working in international or multinational organisations; exposure to US-headquartered companies is highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and advise
  • A Bachelor's degree
