Senior General Ledger (GL) Accountant

iSupport Worldwide is looking for a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Senior General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong Big Four background and hands‑on experience managing end‑to‑end accounting for complex, multi‑system environments, including e‑commerce platforms.

Role Overview

The Senior GL Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, owning the full month‑end close process, and performing complex reconciliations across multiple sales channels and systems. This role requires strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger across multiple systems and sales channels

• Lead and execute full‑cycle month‑end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account analyses

• Perform detailed reconciliations for AP, AR, inventory, and other balance sheet accounts

• Reconcile Shopify activity including sales, refunds, discounts, taxes, payouts, and cash settlements

• Reconcile Amazon Seller Central activity including sales, refunds, discounts, taxes, fees, and payouts

• Reconcile transactions and balances within NetSuite to ensure system accuracy

• Investigate discrepancies, analyze variances, and resolve issues in a timely manner

• Support audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries

• Collaborate with finance, operations, and e‑commerce teams to support accurate financial reporting

• Assist with ad hoc accounting tasks related to AP, AR, and inventory as needed

• Continuously identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls

Must‑Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

• Minimum of 4 years of Big Four accounting firm experience

• Strong background in corporate accounting and full‑cycle month‑end close

• Hands‑on experience using NetSuite

• Proven experience in inventory accounting

• Hands‑on Shopify reconciliation experience

• Hands‑on Amazon Seller Central reconciliation experience

• Experience with AP and AR reconciliations

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, including revenue recognition

• Advanced Excel skills (will be assessed live)

• High attention to detail with strong organizational and time‑management skills

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

• Ability to pass live GAAP and advanced Excel assessments

Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications

• CPA or has taken the CPA exam

• Experience with SaaS or platform accounting (e.g., Apple, Stripe, Google)

• Experience working with U.S.‑based or multinational companies

• Background in e‑commerce, SaaS, or consumer products industries
