About Our Client

Our client is an Australian FinTech company that provides a platform for business credit cards and spend management. In essence, they offer a modern alternative to traditional corporate cards, designed to simplify spending for businesses, save time and money on financial administration, and give businesses greater control and visibility over their expenses. Their key services include providing Mastercard-powered credit cards to businesses, which can be issued to employees, and a spend management platform that allows businesses to track spending in real-time, capture receipts, categorize expenses, and automate reconciliation with accounting software. Our client also enables employees to use a mobile app to upload receipts and add notes, streamlining the expense reporting process.

Notably, our client does not charge any foreign transaction fee mark-ups and integrates with popular accounting software like Xero and SAP Concur. Additionally, our client provides controls and oversight features, allowing businesses to set spending limits, and lock or freeze cards. Our client's users can also earn Velocity Points on eligible spending.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong front-end expertise to lead and contribute to high-impact development in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role requires a developer who excels in React/TypeScript while still being proficient in Python and Django for backend responsibilities. You will translate technical challenges into scalable business solutions, work closely with cross-functional teams, and contribute to a culture that values communication, clarity, and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain front-end applications using React and TypeScript
• Build and support backend systems using Python/Django and Django REST Framework
• Architect and implement scalable API services and database models
• Collaborate with DevOps to deploy and maintain services in GCP (AWS experience also acceptable)
• Integrate with cloud services and support deployments in containerised environments
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the stack
• Debug and resolve complex issues in both front-end and backend systems
• Contribute to architectural decisions that shape the platform's evolution
• Optimise performance and address technical debt across the codebase
• Work closely with product and commercial teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews to uphold quality standards
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  
  

• 5+ years of full stack development experience
• Strong proficiency in front-end development (React, TypeScript)
• Solid experience with Python & Django
• Understanding of RESTful API design principles
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable)
• Knowledge of containerisation (Docker)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Strong understanding of Git and modern development workflows
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables

• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Exposure to AI/ML tools or AI-driven development workflows
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Understanding of microservices architecture
