Our engineering teams at Code and Theory build and operate modern digital products that power immersive customer experiences and internal platforms. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will work across front-end, back-end, and supporting infrastructure layers, collaborating closely with design, product, and quality teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and well-architected solutions. While no single engineer is expected to be an expert in every technology, this role places particular emphasis on strong API integration skills, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new platforms and tools.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Take ownership of features and systems across the full stack, delivering high-quality, scalable solutions independently or as part of a team
- Build and maintain modern front-end applications using React and Next.js, focusing on correctness, maintainability, and integration with back-end services
- Design, implement, and integrate APIs and back-end services, ensuring clear contracts, robust data validation, and reliable communication between internal and external systems. You will be expected to lead or own complex API integrations end to end
- Work with typed back-end frameworks and tooling (e.g. tRPC, Prisma, Zod) to build maintainable and well-structured application logic
- Collaborate across disciplines to align on architecture, data flow, and technical trade-offs
- Contribute to technical discussions, architectural reviews, and problem-solving sessions
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established standards and best practices
- Support and mentor junior engineers by sharing knowledge, reviewing code, and promoting good engineering practices
- Stay current with emerging technologies and frameworks, and demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and apply new platforms when needed
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 6+ years of professional experience in software development, with hands-on exposure to both front-end and back-end systems
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript across client and server environments
- Solid experience building front-end applications with React and Next.js
- Working knowledge of modern front-end tooling and libraries such as Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, TanStack Table, and React Hook Form
- Proven track record designing and delivering production-grade API integrations, with a clear understanding of data modeling, validation, error handling, and versioning
- Experience working with back-end technologies such as tRPC, Prisma, and relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity with cloud-based deployment platforms such as Vercel and managed databases (e.g. AWS RDS)
- Strong understanding of version control, development workflows, and CI/CD practices
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional Agile teams
- Demonstrated ability to pick up new tools, frameworks, and platforms efficiently
- Experience working on products that integrate multiple external systems or services, including third-party APIs or platform integrations
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Google Apps Script or building lightweight integrations and automation on third-party platforms
- Prior exposure to DevOps or infrastructure-related work (e.g. deployments, monitoring, environment configuration)
- Experience contributing to shared libraries, internal tooling, or reusable platform components
