# Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Plant-A is a research and data company based in New York City. We develop rankings and insights in partnership with major publishers, including Newsweek, USA TODAY, Business Insider, and The Independent.

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build a platform that helps brands and agencies discover relevant quotes from publisher content and license them for advertising and marketing. The platform will also help publishers manage licensing, understand buyer demand, and generate revenue from their content.

We have a working prototype and are ready to build the production platform. You will own significant parts of the product and its technical architecture, working directly with Plant-A's leadership.

## What you'll do

- Build search and discovery tools for large volumes of publisher content.

- Develop features that match buyer briefs to relevant quotes, including saved searches and brand alerts.

- Build publisher workflows for managing quotes, rights, approvals, pricing, and licensing requests.

- Create dashboards for buyer activity, leads, licensing revenue, and demand trends.

- Design systems for content ingestion, accounts, permissions, payments, and reporting.

- Help develop integrations for using licensed quotes in digital advertising campaigns.

## What we're looking for

- At least five years of experience building and shipping full-stack products.

- Strong experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript, plus backend development in Node.js or Python.

- Experience designing APIs, working with SQL databases, and deploying secure cloud applications.

- The ability to turn an early prototype into reliable, intuitive software.

- Sound technical judgment and the ability to work independently with a small team.

Experience with search, large datasets, AI-assisted features, media, advertising technology, marketplaces, or content licensing is a plus.
