Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst (Accounting Senior Specialist) plays a critical role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, accounting, and reconciliation activities that support business operations. This role offers the opportunity to gain deep hands-on experience in month-end close, General Ledger reconciliations, and financial analysis within a structured and compliant environment. By ensuring accuracy, transparency, and control in financial processes, the role directly contributes to maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and supporting business decision-making. This position also provides exposure to process improvements, system transitions, and cross-functional collaboration, enabling continuous professional growth.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform timely and accurate financial reporting and accounting deliverables to support business requirements
  • Execute month-end close activities in accordance with established timelines and procedures
  • Prepare and reconcile General Ledger accounts, including suspense and clearing accounts
  • Provide detailed reconciliation analysis and commentary, highlighting discrepancies and aging items
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, including necessary write-offs
  • Compare GL balances against source systems and operational reports to ensure accuracy
  • Identify variances and recommend adjustments for review and approval
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, documentation requirements, and internal controls
  • Perform first-level review of accounting schedules and financial reports
  • Support process transitions, migrations, and documentation of procedures
  • Act as a point of contact for assigned processes and respond to operational queries
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and identify efficiency opportunities
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to investigate issues and support corrective actions
  • Communicate progress, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders
  • Open to working night‑shift schedules to support business and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting operations, or reconciliation
  • Hands-on experience in General Ledger reconciliations, month-end close, and financial analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including handling large datasets and reconciliations
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to manage tasks independently while collaborating within a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills in a deadline-driven setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or CA designation (preferred but not required)
  • Experience with financial systems such as Lawson or similar platforms
  • Exposure to process transitions or migration projects
  • Experience working in a shared services or global delivery environment
