Responsible for the General Accounting function including the closing, reconciling, analysis, and reporting of the general ledger.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinates the monthly, quarterly and annual period closing. Oversees and ensures timely and accurate posting of journal entries.
- Maintains subsidiary ledgers
- Completes periodic balance sheet account review and reconciliations.
- Manages accounting system administration, cost center and GL account master data maintenance, customer and vendor master data maintenance, invoicing, accruals and restatements.
- Provides guidance and training to less experienced accountants in the department.
Qualifications:
- Requires a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
- 4 years of experience in a General Accounting function in a multinational company
- Prior experience involving the application of statutory accounting principles and developing, testing, implementing, and reconciling automated systems; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
- CPA or MBA preferred.
