Client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Manager (Senior Accountant) to join our Finance team in Manila. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in accounting operations, financial closing, fixed asset management, and tax compliance, with the ability to support audits and provide accurate financial reporting.
This role requires a solid understanding of financial principles and local/global tax regulations, excellent analytical skills, and a high level of professional integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and execute daily accounting transactions in compliance with accounting standards.
Process invoices, expense claims, and other financial transactions efficiently and accurately.
Maintain and monitor general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
Prepare accruals, provisions, and required adjustments during closing cycles.
Assist in the preparation of management financial reports and statements.
Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, including asset additions, disposals, and depreciation.
Ensure fixed asset accounting complies with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations.
Investigate, analyze, and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
Ensure timely and accurate compliance with applicable tax regulations.
Prepare and file tax returns within statutory deadlines.
Support responses to tax-related queries, notices, and assessments.
Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
Coordinate with auditors to address audit queries and facilitate smooth audit execution.
Assist in preparing financial reports and analytical insights for management.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within accounting and tax functions.
Perform additional finance and accounting-related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Competencies
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in finance and accounting roles.
Strong hands-on experience in:
Day-to-day accounting
Financial closing activities
Fixed asset accounting
Bank reconciliation
Tax compliance
Technical & Professional Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis).
