JOB PURPOSE
Develops designs in keeping with the brand's overall direction and business strategy.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle material sourcing, development and review (lab dips, strike offs) in collaboration with his/her superiors.
- Prepare product specification sheets to provide detailed product guidelines and specifications as basis during the course of production.
- Develop designs that are consistent with the image, market and pricing strategies of the brand and in accordance with guidelines given in terms of concept and color direction.
- Prepare and update all CAD requirements and specification sheets.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of technical instructions and other details prior to specs upload.

- Has good technical understanding of the assigned product category.
- Review and validate work sheets/ specs sheets prior to submission to the Product Development Team
- Oversee during fit/sample evaluation sessions as required.
- Assist the Design Manager in the performance of his/her duties particularly in color & concept development
- Perform other functions as required (i.e. brochures, uniforms, look books, assist during pictorials & fashion shows, etc.)

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Must be able to successfully operate in a fast-paced changing environment working on multiple projects and cross functional teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Fine Arts, Advertising, Industrial Design, Clothing Technology, Fashion and Merchandising, Textile and Garments Technology, or other fashion-related course
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years related working experience

- Garment Technology: basic fiber and textile properties; basic garment construction and patterns; fashion illustration and design
- Merchandising: able to interpret and understand the merchandise cycle, the merchandise and retail industry
- Brand: ensuring that merchandise fits to the brand image and caters to the target market
