This role is responsible for delivering high-quality facade engineering services across complex commercial and infrastructure projects, applying Australian Standards to advanced structural calculations, design, and certification. Working closely with the Facades Team Leader and broader project teams, the position contributes to the technical excellence, compliance, and delivery of innovative facade solutions across multiple sectors.
Description
- Undertake engineering design, review, and certification of facade systems in accordance with Australian Standards
- Perform complex facade structural calculations for both new and remedial works
- Prepare detailed technical reports, engineering specifications, and contract documentation
- Provide quality assurance (QA) oversight and technical review of team outputs
- Work across a diverse range of projects including commercial, retail, public, and strata developments
- Support and mentor junior engineers, providing professional guidance and technical leadership
- Lead by example as a technical role model within the facade team
- Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to build strong professional relationships
- Manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and delivery
- Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and best-practice engineering outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)/ Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering/ Bachelor of Engineering (Major in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years experience in facade design engineering
- Proven capability in undertaking complex facade design and structural calculations
- Strong understanding and application of Australian Standards
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, show initiative, and operate with limited supervision
- Proven leadership ability with experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- High level of attention to detail and professional accountability
- Strong interpersonal intelligence with the ability to build trust and inspire confidence
