People Department Generalist

Your role as a People Department Generalist will be far from one-dimensional. You'll undertake a wide range of People Department tasks, like organizing training, administering employee benefits and leaves and crafting HR policies. You will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. And you'll also act as the main point of contact for employees queries on People Department-related topics.

  • The goal is to ensure the People Department's operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • Assists and manages the talent acquisition and recruitment processes

  • Conducts employee onboarding and help plan training & development

  • Administers compensation and benefit plans

  • Conducts timekeeping audits with a highly basis to ensure the accuracy of our financial statements

  • Identifies irregularities in our system, including possible fraud and theft, and report them to our People Department Manager

  • Assesses our staffing needs and track time-to-hire and recruiting costs, including expenditures on sourcing, advertising, and onboarding

  • Evaluates the training needs, manages our training budget, and monitors the allocation of resources to our training and development programs

  • Assists on overseeing the cost-effectiveness of our onboarding process, workshops, and other learning programs

  • Monitors that all expenditures are within our budget, compile spending reports, and allocate resources to specific HR programs as instructed by our People Department Head.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in an HR Officer/Generalist role

  • Bachelor's degree on Psychology, Human Resource Management of anything related to

  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures

  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws

  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office HRIS systems (e.g. PeopleSoft) will be a plus

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English

  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach.

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist

  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures

  • Aptitude in problem-solving

  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach

  • Additional HR training will be a plus
