You will support eSourcing initiatives, contract management, alternate sourcing, and risk assessment for direct commodities. You will also provide comprehensive support to senior team members on complex projects, drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, and lead projects aligned with strategic business initiatives.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Work with strategic procurement colleagues to develop new supply sources to support existing and new product requirements.
  • Develop and implement spend management strategies, including supplier assessments, rationalization, and negotiation for the best total cost of ownership.
  • Prepare, co-develop, and review the reverse auction process with Commodity Managers, including detailed bid information, analysis of detailed results, negotiation, and execution of contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
  • Provide recommendations to management related to commodity cost trends, material availability, production options, and alternatives.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external legal counsel.
  • Ensure up-to-date and manage changes in the procurement database.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Electronics and Communications, Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, or other Engineering-related courses.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in procurement within the manufacturing industry or in a supply chain role in a shared services industry.
  • Knowledgeable in mechanical and electrical/electronic commodities and can interpret engineering drawings and datasheets (specifications).
  • Knowledgeable in environmental legislations (e.g., ROHS, REACH, etc.).
  • Fair understanding of Supply Chain concepts and project management principles.
  • Basic understanding of procurement systems and tools (ERP, MRP, SRM).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic understanding of online reverse auctions.
