We are now seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to be based in our Makati City office.
Job Responsibilities
- Designs and specifies Electrical installations, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for all building engineering services purposes.
- Review and record all Electrical engineering options and decision for final option.
- Electrical engineering concepts and solutions.
- Attend team meetings and conference calls with front office engineers, international/ regional colleagues and Local/ international clients to discuss/review project technical requirements and deliverables.
- Assists to develop brief and work plan and Engineering/CAD resource for each phase of project.
- Confers with both local and international team personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
- Provides detailed Electrical technical support to both local and international offices and assists with Mechanical, Electrical or Public Health technical support.
- Responsible for coordinating design with other disciplines and preparing coordinated drawings.
- Responsible for validation and checking of all engineering documents/drawings/ calculations before leaving the local office for issuance to our global offices.
- Uses computer assisted project software for both project related calculations and project resource management such as Dialux , Amtech, ETAP, Navisworks, SKM, Microsoft office, etc.
- Ensures document control methods are being adhered to, and design standards are being achieved.
- Assists in developing quality and technical standards within the office.
- Conduct preliminary Power Systems Analysis such as basic short circuit calculations and discrimination study for use in the preparation of single line diagrams.
- Carry out preliminary Load Analysis calculations.
- Prepare single Line diagram drawings for LV/HV (Low Voltage /High Voltage) and capability to specify circuit breaker ratings and cable sizes.
- Prepare technical specification documentations for equipment, devices and materials.
- To lead local projects and act as point person (POC) for international projects.
- Undertakes quality assurance reviews of the design package prior to issuance to regional office or to the client.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering
- A minimum of 20 years of work experience in engineering service design industry.
- Preferably with Professional Engineering license.
Core Competencies:
- Competent in preparing technical specifications , design calculations and drawing layouts for several building types.
- MEPF Design Coordination and Reviews.
- Analytical approach to problem solving and design requirements.
- Knowledge in design principles pertaining to power systems Analysis.
- Design Experience on Data Center environment
- Programme and resource management for project teams
- Presentation skills client page turner, commercial / business developments /fee bids and technical
- Knowledge in MS Office applications ( Word, Excel , Power point, etc..) and essential engineering software.
- Leadership Skills with focus on creating team rapport.
