Senior Database Administrator

An established IT Services & Consulting Company, where technology and data drive impactful business solutions, is looking for a Senior Database Administrator to manage and optimize enterprise database systems. This role focuses on ensuring data integrity, high performance, and reliability across both on-premise and cloud-based environments (Azure/AWS), while contributing to database architecture, design, and technical operations.

Summary of the Role

The Senior Database Administrator will oversee all aspects of database administration, including design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance. This position requires technical leadership, strategic problem-solving, and collaboration across teams to ensure systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with organizational standards. The role also includes mentoring junior team members and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in database operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead database administration, optimization, and maintenance activities
2. Develop and implement database policies, procedures, and best practices
3. Ensure database performance, compliance, and risk management
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business-critical systems
5. Mentor and guide junior database administrators and team members

Must-Have Skills / Experience

• At least 10 years experience in Database Administration
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL / MS SQL
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
• Programming background in .NET (preferred), Python, or Java
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
