Senior Data Engineer

STRATEGIC VALUE AND JUSTIFICATION:

Performs hands-on technical assessments to validate the data architecture recommendations. This role ensures the technical feasibility of solutions and provides realistic cost and resource estimates.

A Senior Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data infrastructure and tools to support data processing and analysis, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Conducts POCs on shortlisted data platforms.

2.Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines that facilitate the collection, storage, and processing of large datasets.

3.Works closely with data analysts, and business teams to improve data models and ensures data accessibility for analysis and reporting.

4.Analyzes APIs and connectors for seamless data integration; implements methodologies for data correction, reconciliation, and quality check to ensure the integrity of data.

5.Provides guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers, oversees their activities and ensures alignment with business objectives.

6.Plans and executes data projects, defines project scope, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful outcomes.

7.Estimates resources and costs for data migration and maintenance.

8.Continuously evaluates and enhances data processes, tools, and systems to drive efficiency and quality improvements in data management.

RequiredSkillsandQualifications

1.Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.

2.Experience with building ETL/ELT pipelines.

3.Abilitytoidentifycomplexdata-relatedchallengesandmakedata-drivendecisionstoaddressbusinessneedseffectively.

4.Ability to test and validate data solutions.
