Job Description

Role Summary:

The Senior Content and Learning Design Officer is responsible for developing, quality-assuring, and managing instructional materials for STEM public school teachers through the GBF Class Builder platform. The role focuses on creating impactful educational resources that improve teachers content mastery, pedagogy, and classroom engagement while aligning with the Philippine K-12 curriculum and GBF's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Content Development and Quality Assurance

  • Lead the development and quality assurance of assigned grade-levels applicable subject instructional materials, including:
  • Lesson Plans
  • Teacher Guides
  • Student PowerPoint Slides
  • Worksheets
  • Supplementary Materials
  • Stay updated with DepEd policies and guidelines to ensure alignment with K-12 curriculum standards, PPST priorities, and socio-cultural guidelines.
  • Document and refine content development guidelines to maintain high standards of pedagogy, visuals, and language.
  • Collaborate with program advisors and education experts to validate content standards and practices.
  • Ensure zero errors and timely readiness of materials for teacher use in accordance with work plans.

B. People and Operations Management

  • Plan, hire, and onboard freelance writers and quality assurance experts with the required expertise.
  • Partner with Human Resources for recruitment, contract facilitation, and timely payment of freelancers.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to align content development teams with program standards and processes.
  • Manage and mentor freelancers, ensuring efficient task execution, deliverable quality, and high performance.
  • Ensure trackers are updated

C. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including DepEd representatives, program advisors, and education partners, to align on program goals and standards.
  • Work closely with internal teams and immediate supervisors to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of key outputs.

D. Additional Responsibilities

  • Actively seek feedback from the teacher community by collaborating closely with the Community Team, conducting regular classroom observations, and participating in focus group discussions (FGDs)
  • Support other educator programs as required.
  • Perform tasks assigned by the immediate superior to achieve program objectives.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Mathematics, or related field (Master's or Doctorate degree is an advantage).
  • Strong familiarity with the Philippine K-12 curriculum for specific subject matter
  • At least 3 years of experience in developing and editing K-12 applicable subject's educational content, with 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in applicable subject in a classroom or hybrid setting.
