Senior Compliance Officer
Role Overview The Senior Compliance Officer will lead and oversee compliance operations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role involves managing compliance frameworks, conducting audits, implementing remediation plans, and serving as a country compliance lead. The position requires strong leadership, strategic oversight, and hands-on execution of compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead compliance operations and serve as country compliance lead
- Conduct internal audits and respond to external audits.
- Develop, review, and implement compliance policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update risk registers.
- Oversee remediation and action plans for audit findings.
- Create materials for, conduct, and monitor Computer-Based Training (CBT) on compliance.
- Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments.
- Review and map MSAs/SOWs for compliance alignment.
- Monitor new laws and regulations in assigned jurisdictions and advise on implications.
- Provide guidance on ad hoc compliance-related tasks.
- Manage and mentor compliance team members, ensuring effective reporting structures.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of compliance experience
- Proven management experience, including leading teams and overseeing multiple reporting levels.
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, risk management, and audit processes.
- Experience conducting internal and external audits.
- Familiarity with remediation planning and compliance policy implementation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Experience serving as a country compliance lead in multinational settings.
- Background in managing compliance for multiple jurisdictions
- Experience with Privacy Impact Assessments and regulatory monitoring.
- Strong understanding of MSAs/SOWs and contract compliance.
- Advanced skills in creating and delivering compliance training programs.
