We are looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Azure security to support and execute cloud security initiatives across hybrid and cloud environments. This role is ideal for someone who has practical experience implementing security controls and frameworks and is ready to grow toward an architect or lead role.
You will work closely with Cloud Architects, Security Architects, and Infrastructure teams to implement security designs, improve controls, and support day-to-day cloud security operations. This position follows a mid-shift schedule and requires onsite work twice per week.
What You'll Do
- Implement and maintain Azure security controls across cloud and hybrid environments
- Support the rollout of Zero Trust principles using Microsoft security services
- Configure and manage cloud security tools including SIEM, MDR, and log analytics platforms
- Perform security reviews for cloud infrastructure, applications, and integrations
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and control testing for internal systems and third-party vendors
- Support incident response activities, including investigation, remediation, and reporting
- Manage identity and access controls using Azure AD, conditional access, and role-based access control
- Help develop and maintain cloud security policies, standards, and technical documentation
- Work with IT and application teams to ensure security is embedded in cloud deployments
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- 36 years of experience in cloud security, infrastructure security, or cybersecurity roles
- Hands-on experience securing Microsoft Azure environments
- Working knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Certifications (Preferred but not required)
- Azure Security Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Associate
- Security+ or equivalent foundational security certification
- Other certifications such as ISO 27001, OSCP, or similar are a plus
Technical Skills
- Azure security services (Defender for Cloud, Azure Monitor, Sentinel)
- Identity and Access Management (Azure AD, RBAC, MFA, Conditional Access)
- Cloud logging, monitoring, and alerting
- Vulnerability management and basic threat detection
- Incident response support and remediation
- Security policy implementation and control validation
- Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity support in cloud environments
