Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:
The Senior Client Manager is responsible for leading and growing key client relationships while driving the strategic and commercial success of each account. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality short-form video campaigns, identifies opportunities for account growth, and acts as a trusted partner to clients by providing strategic guidance and proactive solutions. The Senior Client Manager plays a key role in client retention, upselling, and maintaining operational excellence while collaborating with internal teams to deliver impactful results.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Leadership
- Serve as the main point of contact for key client accounts
- Build strong and trusted client relationships by understanding goals, priorities, and challenges
- Lead strategic conversations and translate client requirements into clear briefs and delivery plans
- Manage client expectations and ensure consistent client satisfaction
- Handle feedback professionally and resolve issues proactively
Account Growth & Upselling
- Identify opportunities to expand accounts through new services, campaigns, and markets
- Lead commercial conversations including renewals, upsells, and proposal presentations
- Develop and execute account growth plans in collaboration with leadership
- Monitor client performance metrics and share meaningful insights
- Contribute to revenue forecasting and account growth strategy
Campaign & Project Management
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of campaigns and content programs
- Manage timelines, budgets, approvals, and resources to ensure smooth execution
- Coordinate across creative, production, and strategy teams to drive delivery
- Review campaign output to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and quality standards
- Conduct post-campaign reviews and apply learnings to improve future performance
Commercial & Operational Excellence
- Monitor account profitability and ensure projects stay within scope
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and performance trackers
- Use project management tools (e.g., Monday.com) to maintain clarity and workflow efficiency
- Support process improvement initiatives that drive internal efficiency
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Mentor and guide Account Executives
- Foster collaboration and clear communication across teams
- Contribute to a positive team culture built on accountability, initiative, and excellence
Skills / Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of client account management experience in a creative, social media, or digital agency environment.
- Proven ability to lead major client accounts or Fortune 500 companies and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Strong track record of account growth, renewals, and upselling through strategic recommendations.
- Strong ability to negotiate contracts
- Experience handling end-to-end campaign delivery, from briefing to execution and reporting.
- Solid understanding of short-form video platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) and social content trends.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, confident in client-facing situations.
- Knowledge of how to edit social videos on CapCut or any other editing tool
- Strong strategic thinking and consultative approach to solving client challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate, handle objections, and close renewals or upsells.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Monday.com) and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and commercially minded.
