WSP, a world leading management and consultancy firm, is seeking Senior Civil Technician (Roads, Aviation and Civil) to join their Transport Team. Your responsibilities:
- Prepare concise engineering drawings from sketches and design information unassisted.
- Comply with CAD Standards and Quality Systems relevant to specialisation and location and apply techniques and procedures commonly used in that practice area and specialisation.
- Undertake reviews of engineering drawings to ensure compliance with CAD Standards and Quality Systems.
- Manage and monitor the quality of work performed by others and promote a culture of technical excellence through mentoring and training less experienced drafters.
- Fulfil Project Technicianrole manage the drafting aspects of projects of varying complexity and size, including planning and controlling of deliverables, resource management and maintaining communication between engineering and drafting staff on the project.
- Possess appropriate time management skills and flexibility to allow for the management of a varying workload.
- Actively assist colleagues in achieving improved client feedback results, enhance satisfaction and exceed client expectations.
- Evaluates staff performance in line to HR procedure.
- Perform tasks assigned by the Principal CivilTechnician / Discipline Lead / Transport Manila Operations Manager / Regional Team Executive in line with his experience, discipline or qualifications.
- Comply with all role specific SHEQ obligations as required.
Your Qualifications:
- Diploma of Engineering or Advanced Diploma of Engineering, equivalent Senior Technical Associate CADD
- At least eight (8) years of relevant structural drafting experience
- High level drafting and detailing skills
- High level use and understanding of CAD software and how it applies(AutoCAD, MicroStation, ProjectWise)
- Prepares engineering drawing deliverables from sketches, calculations and/or specifications
- Proficiency in Civil 3D an advantage
- Exposure to different business models and industry best practice
- Preferably with experience on Australian projects
