Senior Buyer (Proteins)

The Senior Buyer (Proteins) supports the Category Manager by contributing to category sourcing strategies and ensuring alignment with established procurement policies and procedures.

This includes:

• Identifying stakeholder requirements and executing category plans
• Optimizing the supply base through market analysis and insights
• Managing the supplier lifecycle, including accreditation, onboarding, performance management, and phase-out
• Ensuring local sourcing practices align with overall procurement standards
• Recommending and supporting process improvements in collaboration with procurement leadership
• Partnering with global procurement teams and internal stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

Supply and Risk Management

Develop and maintain a robust, optimized, and agile supplier network to meet current and future business requirements

Cost Leadership

Drive cost optimization through strategic sourcing, digital tools, and strong business partnerships

Supplier Relationship Management

Manage supplier partnerships and performance, delivering value through cost efficiency, innovation, sustainability, and supply resilience

People Leadership

Lead a team while managing projects and programs effectively

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a relevant field
• Professional certifications in Procurement and Supply Chain are an advantage
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience, with knowledge of the food value chain
• Proven experience in handling protein category
• Background in category management, procurement, engineering, or operations is highly preferred
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a project-driven environment
• Willing to work in a hybrid setup based in Ortigas, Pasig
