Senior Bookkeeper

Location: Clark, Philippines
Work Arrangement: Remote, Full-time
Shift: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM PHT
Salary Range: Php 72,000 - Php 81,000

As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be the core financial backbone of our international clients daily business operations. In this role, you will take full technical ownership of diverse multi-entity portfolios-ensuring books are pristine, internal data controls are rock-solid, and recurring compliance obligations are met with absolute confidence. Operating completely remote on a highly desirable dayshift, this position is custom-built for an advanced ledger professional who displays expert command over cloud-based platforms, tackles intricate balance sheet adjustments independently, and takes immense pride in delivering top-tier accuracy.

Your Impact

  • Cash Flow Commander & Balance Sheet Boss: Execute precision daily cashbook management and finalize complex bank reconciliations within Xero. Systematically reconcile high-risk balance sheet accounts, including Goods and Services Tax (GST), Pay As You Go (PAYG) withholding, superannuation contributions, director loans, internal clearing accounts, and month-end accruals.
  • Discrepancy Detective: Perform deep-dive forensic audits of client ledgers to investigate, isolate, and resolve financial discrepancies promptly, ensuring every trial balance matches true commercial activity.
  • Payables & Payroll Pro: Manage full-cycle accounts payable pipelines and process employee payroll accurately and on time, maintaining flawless data alignment against Australian regulatory frameworks.
  • Compliance Craftsman: Draft accurate monthly and quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), enabling clients to seamlessly fulfill their statutory reporting requirements.
  • Client Whisperer & Relationship Builder: Serve as a trusted advisor, responding to client queries professionally and translating complex bookkeeping variances or required ledger corrections into clear, actionable advice.
  • Process Innovator: Maintain meticulous digital records and workflows while proactively identifying ledger processing bottlenecks to engineer scalable accounting solutions.

What You Bring

  • The Experience:Minimum of 3 years of hands-on bookkeeping, corporate accounting, or shared-services experience, with a clear track record of managing multiple distinct client portfolios simultaneously.
  • Cloud Accounting Mastery: Highly proficient with Xero Ledger and Xero Practice Manager (XPM), paired with a solid working knowledge of MYOB Business ecosystems. You understand automated bank feed rules and ledger mappings inside out.
  • Technical Acumen: Deep conceptual understanding of Australian bookkeeping fundamentals, double-entry ledger mechanics, payroll compliance laws, and activity statement calculations.
  • Tech-Savvy Operations: Comfortable operating across the Microsoft Office suite (specifically intermediate Excel data functions) and modern CRM or practice management workflow tools.
  • Deadline Devotee & Organized Executor: A self-directed professional who thrives under pressure, organizes multiple client priority items effectively, and systematically respects statutory lodgment windows.
  • Communication Prowess: Elite written and verbal English communication skills, with the personal confidence to discuss complex financial scenarios clearly with overseas directors and team members.
  • The Credentials: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Accounting Technology, or a closely related commercial field is highly regarded.
