Job Description

Position: Senior Bookkeeper (Up to 100K)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM 4 PM (PH Time)

Work setup: Office

We are seeking an AU Senior Bookkeeper who will maintain and accurately record a complete and systematic set of business transactions for clients. Responsibilities include managing balance ledgers, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports on receipts, expenditures, accounts receivable, taxes (BAS/IAS), and accounts payable.

The role also involves providing advice and support services to help clients with business decisions and ensure compliance.

In This Role, You Will

Financial Planning & Advice Support (Primary Focus)

  • Complex problem solving to ensure business outcomes are achieved and compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Provision of advice to clients based on sound analysis and a thorough knowledge of the business capacities, services/products, systems, people, and processes
  • Effectively manage a complete portfolio of client books along with assigned bookkeeper which may include (but not limited to) any of the following functions:
  • Payroll all
  • Accounts Payable
  • Bank Transactions and Reconciliations
  • BAS/IAS
  • Billing/Invoicing
  • Preparation of reports
  • EOFY
  • Liaise with Accountants and other stakeholders on behalf of the client as directed and appropriate to the role and accountabilities
  • Work closely with the members of the internal team to contribute to the productivity of the team and support of team members
  • Provide training or support to junior staff as directed or evident
  • Use and maintain internal systems including, but not limited to, electronic timesheets, project management software etc.

Were Looking For Someone Who Has

  • 5+ years experience in a similar bookkeeping role/s.
  • Significant experience with bookkeeping software.
  • Able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and embrace a range of clients from a broad range of industries
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting terminology and systems
  • Project and time management skills
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work as part of the wider team.
  • Completion of an accredited bookkeeper qualification
  • Experience supervising team members

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel and other relevant financial management packages.
  • Significant experience with bookkeeping software such as Xero, Intuit QBO, MYOB, Dext, Hubdoc etc.
