JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring day-to-day transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card transactions and payroll are actioned in a timely manner and recorded properly. There are two Xero files to maintain.
- Performing timely and accurate month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations ensuring that accounting schedules are updated and accurate for both Xero files.
- Ensuring proper revenue and expense coding of transactions.
- Monitoring cash balances and performing cash flow forecasting (preparation only), with review to be completed by General Manager and Virtual CFO.
- Assisting the General Manager in developing and monitoring organizational and departmental budgets.
- Performing financial year-end close activities and assisting with activities and requirements of external accountants.
- Continually seeking and implementing opportunities to streamline and improve finance and accounting operations through technology, including training staff to better utilize financial and accounting software.
- Development of a pack of financial updates suitable for inclusion in quarterly Shareholders meetings.
- Other duties as assigned to meet organizational requirements.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- CPA
- Xero Certified; with experience using XERO for at least 2 years
- Minimum of 3 years experience in processing accounting and bookkeeping for Australian Clients
- With experience in doing end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping
- With experience processing AU Payroll
- With experience handling multiple entities
- Outstanding accuracy, proactive, organized approach to work with a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Strong time management skills
