Leads mid-level engagements, ensures accuracy in financial deliverables, and begins to develop client advisory skills.
Job Responsibilities
1.Financial Reporting and Client Deliverables
- Lead financial statement preparation and analysis, ensuring compliance with IFRS, PFRS, and tax regulations.
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, identifying inconsistencies and providing recommendations.
- Ensure accurate recording of transactions, reconciliations, and adjustments for client accounts.
- Supervise payroll processing, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR) reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Lead in the set-up of the client's accounting system which includes chart of accounts, transaction flow, pro-forma entries and accounting treatment of clients transactions.
- Ensure efficiency of completion of government processes by reviewing documents, recommending cost-efficient strategies, monitoring processing timelines, coordinating with government agencies on issues, and updating internal process manuals.
2.Financial Advisory and Business Consulting
- Perform financial health assessments, trend analysis, and client cash flow forecasting.
- Provide profitability analysis, budgeting support, and cost optimization recommendations.
- Assist clients with financial decision-making, and investment analysis.
- Develop financial models for business expansion, cost-cutting, or strategic planning initiatives.
3.Leadership, Training, and Mentorship
- Review and provide feedback on financial reports, reconciliations, and other deliverables prepared by Junior Associates.
- Conduct training sessions and mentoring programs for Junior Associates on financial analysis and compliance.
- Mentor junior staff, helping them develop technical expertise
4.Client Relationship Management and Business Development
- Serve as the primary client contact for assigned engagements, ensuring high quality service and responsiveness.
- Maintain and strengthen long-term client relationships, identifying additional service opportunities.
- Prepare client proposals, engagement letters, and presentations to support business development efforts.
5.Process Improvement and Operational Efficiency
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements in financial reporting, automation, and engagement workflows.
- Leverage technology to improve client accounting processes and reporting accuracy.
- Maintain proper documentation, audit trails, and compliance records to ensure firm-wide consistency.
6.Risk Management and Compliance
- Ensure all financial reports meet legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Review compliance procedures for client financial records, and statutory obligations.
- Assist clients in preparing for external audits
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA required; CMA, CFA, or MBA is an advantage
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or financial consulting, with exposure to client engagements.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Strong financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and variance analysis expertise.
- Client Relationship Management: Ability to maintain strong client engagement, communication, and consulting skills.
- Business Advisory Expertise: Experience in budgeting, profitability analysis, financial modeling, and cost optimization.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Proven ability to guide and train junior team members.
- Process Optimization: Ability to identify and implement efficiency improvements in financial operations.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of IFRS, PFRS, and Philippine tax regulations
