Role description

We are seeking a professional to join the First Line Business Continuity Management team at LCH Ltd as a Senior Associate. This role plays a key part in supporting the development, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of Business Continuity and Crisis Management capabilities across the organisation. The successful candidate will help ensure operational readiness, coordinate and execute BCM exercises and incident response procedures, and uphold alignment with Group standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities of the role:

You can expect to support all of the following areas:

Crisis Management & Incident Coordination

  • Support the coordination and administration of Crisis Management Team (CMT) activities, including documentation, communications, meeting logistics, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Assist in the invocation and operational management of Bronze CMTs during incidents, ensuring communication protocols, escalation pathways, and response procedures are followed effectively.

Scenario Exercises & Industry Engagement

  • Support the delivery of annual Groupled Important Business Service (IBS) scenario exercises, ensuring strong participation and effective analysis of outcomes.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating external industry exercises, engaging relevant internal stakeholders and capturing lessons learned to strengthen organisational resilience.

BCM Documentation & Standards Compliance

  • Maintain central BCM documentation, Teams channels, and evidence repositories, ensuring information is accurate, organised, and accessible.
  • Analyse recovery strategy testing results and work with Business Continuity Coordinators to track completion, highlight gaps, and escalate required remediation to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinate periodic testing across Services and Functions (e.g., EMIR switch testing, WAR site testing), ensuring schedules, outcomes, and followups are well managed.
  • Ensure alignment with Group Crisis Management and BCM standards and support ongoing compliance with policy and regulatory expectations.
  • Coordinate updates to BCM documentationincluding BIAs, BCPs, and recovery strategy detailsacross Services and Functions to ensure consistency and adherence to policy requirements.

Operational Support & Coordination

  • Support daytoday BCM activities, including tracking actions, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely status updates.
  • Engage regularly with Business Continuity Coordinators to build understanding of BCM requirements and support the effective delivery of their obligations.

Central Bank Attestation Support

  • Provide adhoc support for central bank attestation activities, including coordination, documentation, and responses to related queries.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Degreeeducated with experience in Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Operational Resilience, or Operational Risk (financial services experience ideal).
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fastpaced environment.
  • Confident communicator, able to produce clear documentation and presentations.
  • Comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and using sound judgement.
  • Strong relationshipbuilding skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Good problemsolving ability with a proactive, cando approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and confident using Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Awareness of regulatory expectations is helpful but not essential.
